Federal Government has deported a total of 7,000 illegal immigrants, to curtail terrorism acts of violent Islamic sect, Boko Haram.

Reports say those deported were mainly from neighboring Chad and Niger republics.
Government officials had recently said the activities of the sect had been aided by illegal immigrants from these neighboring countries.
   
Nigerian Immigration Service confirmed the deportation even as it threatened to prosecute employers of illegal aliens.
