The pair have been engaged since 2008 and have
two-year-old son David Jr. together.
Recently there have been
reports the couple haven't been getting on, and were planning to call
time on their romance. Jennifer insists nothing could be further from
the truth.
'We're going to get married,' she told Access
Hollywood. 'I know they said we had broken up. We're never broken up.'
The
30-year-old explained she and David have just been busy lately.
Although they aren't always seen together at Hollywood events, that
doesn't mean they are drifting apart.
'We're still here, but we're
very busy people. He's always on the road, I'm always on the road,' she
explained. 'We are together, we just do it at home in Chicago. That's
our meeting place.'
Jennifer was born in Chicago and the city
means a great deal to her. When she does walk down the aisle she is
determined to do it there.
David ' who has trained to be a
professional wrestler ' agrees and the pair are looking forward to
sharing their special day with friends and family.
Jennifer
doesn't enjoy hearing negative things about her private life, but knows
public interest in her relationship is part of her job.
Asked what
she makes of the recent spate of celebrity break-ups, among Demi
Moore and Ashton Kutcher, she insisted romance is the same the world
over.
'At the end of the day, we're all human and we all have our
relationship issues and our human issues. I think because of celebrity,
it's more magnified. We're people, too,' she said. 'We're all people and
they're just going through people things, it's just magnified.'
